64. The Hot Star
The edge of the sun is what we've felt
We can't get close or we'll quickly melt
We need it's power to live our live's
So that the world keeps spinning as it strives
When I think about the sun, I think about warm sunny days, or people jetting off to foreign climates to experience guaranteed sunshine together with a golden tan, to show everyone back home. But the sun is much more important than providing people with sun tanned skin, it gives every living thing on earth the green light, to start surviving by growing and spreading across the world.
If we think about the planets as being in a gang, and the ringleader or kingpin being the sun, it keeps them in line by its gravitational force. Or put another way, you could say that the sun has kind of monopolized the solar system by protectionism from day one. So even if they wanted to, they can’t leave, and if they were to break free, the penalty would be death, by being quickly pulled into the sun and incinerated in a matter of seconds or minutes. I can safely say that this leader and its gang will have nothing to fear from any rivals.
