44. Try And Be Happy
Life is a blessing given because of love
We're no more important than a beautiful dove
Passing through we're not here forever
A decent life we must try to endeavour
What really defines happiness, and how do we know If someone really is happy?
On the outside, someone could have it all, a good job, a loving family with lots of friends, and still be unhappy and lonely inside. The truth of the matter is, there is no indicator or test that define how happy someone is, and when the person in question is asked are they, the answer will almost always be yes, when it honestly should be no.
But people, especially men, don’t like showing their true feelings, even to their wife, husband, or partner. We men see it as a form weakness in the form of embarrassment, pride and a knock to the male ego. When it comes to leading a decent life, what I think is wrong might be totally acceptable and right to someone else, so we must be careful when defining what a decent life is.
I think everyone would agree that breaking the law by committing a crime comes under this umbrella, but not totally. Let me explain. Have you ever crossed a road, while not at a set of traffic lights? I know I have, I do it all the time, along with millions of other people. But believe it or not, this is classed as a crime in many countries, a minor crime non the less, but still a crime.
A decent life and happiness!
Is there such a thing, or are we all lying to ourselves?
