16. There Is A Reason

Mark Andrew Johnson

16. There Is A Reason

When someone dies their life force is simply expired

A lost loved one is now just a memory who will forever be admired

Alone in the house you shared you sink to your knees and cry

Over and over you tearfully say why did they have to die

This poem is very close to my heart because it reminds me of when my mum passed away. As you can imagine, it was a very sad time for myself and my family, but more to the point, it was thinking about what happens to us when we die, and where we end up. Speaking personally, I believe in God, and believe that one day I will see my mum again. There are some people on the other hand who believe in once you're dead, that's it. Whatever you believe in, I hope you find comfort in that belief.
