10. That Burning Feeling

Mark Andrew Johnson

10. That Burning Feeling

Fire is always angry and never calm

Whatever it touches comes to some harm

If left too long ashes will prevail

Erasing all memory of each detail

Fire is both useful and dangerous. It can keep you alive to heat

up food and keep warm, but can also take your life in the wrong

circumstances. A burning log fire crackles and looks beautiful,

but if left unattended can easily get out of hand to wreak havoc

and reduce everything to ashes. So we must respect fire, and

keep our eyes on it at all times.
